Helping you plan your first dock
This buying guide is published by Do It Docks, an online retailer based in Merrick, New York. We ship dock kits, hardware and waterfront accessories across the United States.
Meet Scott
Scott, the owner of Do It Docks, brings nearly 20 years of dock industry experience, including dock design, bulkhead and seawall reconstruction, and boat lift projects.
Do It Docks grew out of helping people answer waterfront questions and connecting them with trusted contacts. That willingness to help is central to how we work with customers today.
You don’t have to figure it all out alone
If you’re unsure where to begin, talk to us about your layout, materials, sizing and intended use. A real person—Scott or a member of his team—will respond.
- Discuss the dock layout and space your activities need.
- Compare materials and package configurations.
- Identify questions about additional components and site conditions.
- Explore custom options and suitable vendors when a standard package doesn’t fit.
We work with customers planning waterfronts on lakes, rivers, canals and coastal waters. The right products depend on the specific conditions; every kit is not suitable for every location.
Why this guide exists
We want beginner buyers to understand the differences between packages before ordering. The comparison highlights what is included, what remains to be purchased and what needs to be checked for your property.
We sell the featured Tommy Docks FLEXX package. Read how we compare products for our approach and commercial relationship.
